I've been up in Salt Lake this summer and with the crazy weather we have had this whole year. AKA snow in May and a ton of rain it has also showed me how beautiful Salt Lake really is. The mountains are green and every day I'm outside to see the sun set I am amazed by the beauty that I'm surrounded by. Just the other night I was driving home from practice and was amazed when I looked off the freeway to see three temples shining bright amongst all the lights. Its pretty cool to be able to see that! What a great place I live! Here are a few pictures from a few sundays ago. The weather was so crazy. So pretty tho! I was driving so wasn't able to catch the double rainbow.

So its been a while since I've written on my blog so I thought I would do a little update of what I've been doing this summer so far. I got to go home after school got out for a few days and had a great time. It was not very long was the only complaint! I came back to Utah cause I started summer school not long after finishing my spring semester. I'm taking two classes. A nutrition class and a business statistics 2 class. Not so much fun! I would not advise anyone to take summer classes. Try jamming stats into a 5 week class! PAINFUL! hah...But since I've gotten back to Utah I have also been playing on a summer team called the Utah Starzz. Its a WPSL or women's premier soccer league. So basically my team is made up of girls that play or played at byu, utah, utah state, uvu, and a few other random schools. I enjoy it cause you get to play with a lot of players you have never played with and its a little more laid back as far as the pressure that you are usually under in college. I've been able to travel a few times with that team to play some other teams in the league. There are actually teams all across the country so they put us in divisions. We went down to St. George and to Tucson and Phoenix to play games so far. I also get to drive to Provo 2-3 times a week for our practices. That is quite the adventure! I've also gotten the chance to work out up here a lot. We have a strength and conditioning coach that works us out 3-4 times a week. We lift and run monday, tuesday, thursday and run on fridays. Its been good and I feel as if I have gotten much stronger. Things have been going well and I'm really enjoying my new ward up here in Salt Lake. I only wish I could go to more of the activities they have (softball, tuesday night hikes). The most recent thing that is going on in my life is soccer camps. I am working for the University of Utah soccer camps and this week we have our UTE KICKERS camp. I have a group of 13 girls ranging in age from 8-11. Man is that fun to try and help them become better soccer players and just have a good time. My new nick name is Milk DUDS and my other teammate katie is KIT KAT. I'm hoping they will bring us the treat we are nicknamed after on the last day of camp!

The best part of the summer thus far tho would probably have to be the fact that I have been waking up at 5 to watch world cup games. I am exhausted by the end of the day after watching games and working camps and going to practice but World Cup only happens so often so you gotta sacrifice some sleep for it right!?!

2. Going to movies with my DAD on Monday nights.
3. Riding preston and weston to schoool on my mom's bike!
4. Going to IN'N'OUT burger with my mom and preston and preston only eating half of the stuff he orders...oh and the fact that I can still eat in'n'out when on a diet! like that too!
5. Watching my brother all day in the REGIONAL golf tourney. He posted the 2nd highest score of the day by the way! 2 EAGLES and 2 BIRDIES. finished 1 under. I THINK I WAS THE GOOD LUCK CHARM. My mom and I had fun following him around for 7 hours of golf!

Its only been a little over 2 days and I've already had a blast! I love my family so much! HOPEFULLY THE POOL WILL WARM UP TONIGHT!

So I've slightly become a bit of a jazz fan since I now am considered a resident of UTAh...Lame I know. But You cannot help cheering for a cute white guy like KYLE KORVER who can drain the three and is pretty good looking! My roommate Abby asked me what team I liked the most and I didnt' really have an answer because the truth is...I love college basketball and would watch the sweet sixteen over an nba playoff game. Sad to say I guess cause the level that the players are in the NBA is amazing and I'm not taking anyway from them. I love Steve Nash, LeBron James, and guys like that. Well guys like that that are not named KOBE BRYANT or MANU GINOBOLI! So for now I guess when people ask me what team in the NBA I like beside my answer of the guys that I like I will add in the JAZZ.

end of spring soccer

So I just want to do a quick post about this spring soccer season. We ended our season in the fall much earlier than we would have hoped to after not advancing to NCAA's, so we got back to work pretty soon after the end of our season in november. We had individual pracites as well as running and weights. Starting in January when we could officially start practices we have been lifting 2-3 times a week, doing speed and agility work 2 times a week, running fitness tests once a week, and practicing 5 days a week. Needless to say, its been a long time of waking up at 6:45 for practice. This spring we had 5 days or weekends we could play. We started off spring down in Texas at Texas A&M. We won one game and lost our second game down there. After that first weekend of games we had a long while till we got to play again. We played Westminister in the cold/rain/wind at thier field cause ours was covered in snow. We won that game and I actually got an assist. Our third day of games we were down in provo at the Byu tourney. We didn't do well at all and played like we were missing some of our important players in the middle, we were but it was no excuse for our poor play. We play our last game tonight and I'm ready to finish our spring off right! We havent' worked this hard. Ran that many fitness tests. Sweat that much. Bled that much. Yelled that much. been frustrated at things that much. TO NOT WIN OUR LAST GAME...and propel us into our fall season on the POSITIVE side of things we need to be on! Lets get em girls!

So this weekend was a great one...well besides the 10 hr bus ride down here to vegas from salt lake...actually take that back I enjoyed it. My team is so much fun and I love everyone of them in a different way. But this weekend my team (utah utes w. soccer team) drove down on a big charter bus for a game today against UNLV. Oh and yes our bus was complete with WiFi and satelite tv. Kind of crazy how technology has become. But on our way down to Vegas we got stuck in the gorge between st. george and mesquite for about 3 hours. It made for quite the team talk. Funny stuff, but being home is the best. You just don't realize how important family is until you are away from them. The little brothers coming to my game, eating lunch with your parents and my second mom and family (the CLARKS). So I had my game this morning. The family came to watch and then we went to cafe rio. Later my mom dad and I went to the movie the LAST song! It was actually better than I expected. But a little sad. I cried a little haha. But being home is the best! I just love it and my family so so much! It's dad's 46th birthday tomorrow...love you dad! YOUR the best dad ever! Thanks for everything you do for me!

Texas Spring Games

So we headed down to Texas on Friday to play a few spring games. We played Sam Houston State University this morning at 1pm. We beat them 1-0 and probably should have put a few more away but it was good to get out on the grass and play a game with a full team together! We worked out some of our first game back jitters and played pretty well in our second game against Texas A&M, though they still got us. They called a hand ball on me in the first five and scored the Pk and then scored off a miscommunication on a corner not too much longer in the first half. Dalley had a great header off one of our corners but their post player cleared it off the line. I thought we played well against a team that is ranked very high nationally. We have a few things to work out and I think that we can be a really great team. All the hard work we put in in spring has started to show and is worth it when you get to start playing games and see it on the field.

Well back to the COLD of Utah tomorrow morning early.... :( but at least I'm going back with a little bit of sun!

So if I don't look like an olympic powerlifter by the end of the semester I will be happy...one good thing so far is the fact that I passed the shuttle test monday and now get friday off while everyone who hasn't passed practices the shuttle test so we can all pass...oh joy right?!? Well thats a little of what every morning this semester has looked like this far!

So ever since I have taken my last final I have been snowboarding!! I invested in a season pass to park city resort and couldn't be happier!! I got a way good deal on it thru the U's snowboarding club and have already payed it off with how many times me and my teammate Lauren Porter have gone! So much fun! I'm getting way better!! THe second time i went this year porter coninced me to go off some jumps and I hurt myself a little but after a week off I'm back up there and have gotten a lot better!! ITS good to ski or board with people that are way better than you cause they push you to get better! TODAY we were going down double blacks and I had a blast!!

I THINK THIS MAY BE THE FIRST TIME IVE EVER SAID THAT I LOVE THE SNOW IN UTAH!!! I think this is the reason a lot of people live here! It truly is the best snow on earth!

Its that time of year again FALL, which means soccer is in full swing along with starting a swamp of reading textbooks, writing papers, taking test and quizzes, and being a little stressed at times. But these are the best times in life right? Well I hope so! I know soccer is going well right now and I'm really excited for this season! We have started off well and hopefully can keep things going! 9 goals in two games, 2-0 record, my first goal in college, and only one goal scored on the defense! Pretty good!

I have been up in Canada with the family this past week and am sad to have to go back to salt lake to work. The family all is just beggining to get here and I have to go home. :( its kinda sad! But The time I have spent up here has been awesome! I've hiked to the peak of VIMMY with my sister and Jessica and Amy! That was a blast! We rode bikes the first 6km and then hiked up to what we thought we would never reach! We saw three bears on the trail and some big tracks from a few. We sang and yelled about the whole time to warn them we were coming. We were on the top of a mountain that overlooked pretty much all of southern alberta and Glacier. AMAZING! it snowed on us on the top for a little bit. Me and AMy also tried to do Akamina ridge earlier in the week but ended up getting to forum lake after hiking through snow and decided to stop cause there was too much snow on the ridge so we turned around and hiked down then back up to WALL lake! Crazy. I think I hiked about 45km in the two days we hiked! ITs been awesome! Chocolate, slurpees, and treats everyday! Yeah I think I may have to go back on to a diet when i get back and loose about 5 but thats vacation for ya! Anyways, more to come! I"ll put photos up and more about the trip in a few days!

first week of camps and boise...

So I got back to utah on sunday night last week and started off the week really busy. Monday morning I woke up and went to weights at 830 up in salt lake so I left around 745 to make sure to be on time. Let me just tell you weights this week were hard! MOnday, tuesday and thursday lifting made for some sore legs and arms! After weights I went to a training session for the camp that would follow later on in the day. This weeks camp we had little soccer players ranging from 6-13. I got paired up to coach with LaLa and Morgan and we had a group of mainly 10 year olds. Wow they were full of energy and putting on three hour training sessions when the jump on your back unexpectedly and kick balls at you can be kind of long sometimes but it was fun. We had some fun girls. We got rained on a lot and had to be in a small space inside a few times but overall it was enjoyable especially when that check came at the end of the week! I missed the last day of camp to travel to boise with the Starzz...A team i'm playing on this summer that is composed of players from a bunch of different college teams in utah...we have some byu kids, utah state, idaho state, uvu, utah, and maybe a few more. Its been fun. We tied our game 1-1 last night and have another game today. Hopefully we can pull out a win!

I signed up for summer school like an idiot!! I haven't truly started yet and I am kind of already regretting it! Haha...i'm doing one online and two telecourses which are basically online as well. Not to mention that I am taking MICRO and MACRO Economics and ANTHROPOLOGY 1050 should be fun spending the summer thinking! haha...well I guess that's what I get for trying to get ahead! Having to do some work other than just working!!!

Although easter was not quite the same as it once was it is still great to be able to remember the Savior and think about the resurrection! But I have to say I miss waking up early to go to easter sunrise service at Red Rock, listening to an easter message, hiking with the kids half way up the mountain till we hear the parents whistle that the scones are ready, eating scones with powdered sugar and syrup, having contests of who can eat the most scones...man its kinda sad to not be able to go home for easter! Its weird not to take part in the traditions you have done your whole life! I still had a good easter though! Got to go over to Angie and Randy's and have dinner with Darren and Deanne and Matt and Shannon and Shannon's Parents and sister as well as Randy's brother and wife. It was fun! And the best part...My parents sent me up an easter basket filled with see's candies and reeses chocolate eggs! :)

UTAH in Feb. means snow... :( i'm not sure that I love it or hate it yet, but today it is really cold! I really wish right now that I was in Hawaii chilling on the beach with my sister and all her friends...must be nice to be able to wake up to the sound of the ocean and not to scraping ice off your car to make it to 7am practice!

Oh how I wish it were warm here! Dang you SALT LAKE CITY!

So on monday night I tried sushi for the first time ever! One of the rolls made me gag...haha...it had some spicy tuna and jalepenos and crap in it...but there were two that were not too bad...I wouldn't say i love sushi now but i can bear it. THe other roll i had was called the vegas roll...But on the other note....Good week for the Utes! Our men's and women's basketball teams both had games against byu this week. The first one was our mens team at UTAH. We won in overtime! Ii was an awesome game and really interesting! Our women's team played last night! We drove down to provo to support them. Me and the other freshman are pretty good friends with most of the freshman basekteball players and they wanted us to go so we did! Me hannah and chelsea painted I <3 U on our stomaches but the U was a block U standing for UTAH! It was great! We won that game as well! 2 more wins for the utes vs. cougs tally! Good week for me so far! ACED my business quiz! :D OH and we met two guys from real world brooklyn...Ryan and Chet

New Year

So I have some mixed feelings about going back to the place some call pooottaaah and others call utah...but its good to be back...I had a nice present waiting when I got back, SNOW! I'm not sure I like it yet. But I do like the fact you can go snowboarding and build snowmen and sled on it! But I came up the Utah about a week before school started to just hang out and chill with some friends. I stayed in provo with two of my best friends for two nights and enjoyed the time with them! Thursday I headed up to sandy to stay with My aunt and uncle and the cousins! I enjoyed getting beaten by lexie and bing to get out of bed today when I tired to sleep in! But Thursday night I went night snowboarding at brighton! Let me tell you that was a blast and quite the experience! I fell A LOT at first but after the two year gap of going snowboarding I picked it up pretty well by the end of the night. I also tried RAW FISH for the first time ever that night! AHI tuna...I was terrified!! I'm such a picky eater and a wimp when it comes to trying anything new, but it wasn't bad! Since that I've decided I'm going to slowly try more and more stuff!

Friday I headed up to my teammate Amy Ed's cabin up in Oakley, which is up Park City canyon. We went snowmobiling and got pulled behing the snowmobile on tubes! I got beat up a bit and had a few bruises from the extreme tubing but it was well worth it! We chilled at the cabin and ate junk and watched movies and played pool and then got in the hot tub! That was fun! Cause when there is tons of snow someone always has to make the suggestion to jump in the snow in your bathingsuit! And me being the competitive person I am just had to do more than anyone else! So I ran thru the snow wet in my bathingsuit all the way to another cabin and dove face first into the snow on the way back to get into the hot tub!! The snow was like 4ft deep too! I sunk so far down every step I took..But it was fun and I won the competition between all of us!! We drove back and I stayed at Angie's and Randy's again and was awoken by the Aden BIng and Lexie playing Wii and getting hit with wrapping paper rolls and being told by BIng that I slept thru breakfast and better get up so I didn't miss lunch! Love the cousins!! We had lunch and then I headed back to the place I call home for now...the DORM...I got all my stuff loaded into my room and now I'm just waiting for the ROOMMATES to arrive! IT has been a long break away from them!

so as much as at times my parents were mad about the rain and clouds that pretty much were there everyday in hawaii along with the leaky roof and mosquito bites i have on my legs...I had fun! it was great to be with the fam. Not going to lie... I didnt get as tan as i would have loved to! but I still got a little sun and had a fun time body surfing and boogie boarding!! I might have to say my favorite a part was when my dad tried to boogie board and looked like this sign---------------------------------------------------------------------->

SOCCER Season over

So soccer season is officially over as of Saturday and its already killing me!! I don't remmeber a time in my life when i haven't had a soccer obligation at least 3 times a week. It seems like whenever I had a break it was for like a week at most..now i have like 2 months! I do not know what I will do with myself...perhaps meet some boys and go on a few dates, study more, eat and get fat, visit friends...lol..Its the second day I have not had practice and I feel like I'm missing something already...I may have to take up snowboarding! Its just so darn expensive!! But we finished up our season pretty well...We took second in conference and in the MWC tournament...but after a rough 1-5 preseason start we went 10-4-2..not too bad..it shows that our young team learned our lessons and really picked it up for the end of the year! What will I do now! Stay tuned for the next few months of my life as a normal college student. Meanwhile here are a few pictures from our MWC banquet and trip to Vegas for the MWC tourney.

so we had a long travel weekend this past one which we first traveled to New Mexico to play the Lobos...we won that game 1-0 not playing super well but getting the result on the road at a place where they like to pack the player in in front of their net. We then traveled to Dallas Ft. Worth to play TCU and we lost. Disappointing for sure! We did not play very well and had a hard time establishing offense. I guess we just have to put it behind us and get ready for our last two games of conference!

SO we got to new mexico tonight and went to dinner...we came back to the hotel and my roomie hannah said she was going to take a shower...next thing i know she is yelling "dudley the water is coming out brown" haha...so great water comes out of the faucet here!! lol...I guess because Mexico is attached to the new the water is brown? it eventually became clear after about 20 seconds but thats still not so good!!

So 1st want to say that I have awesome roommates!! They made me wake up and go out to breakfast at eggs in the city and it was delicious...I then had practice which was alright...then the real fun started...I went back to my dorm showered and Lane my best friend came up from provo. We all went out to dinner at texas road house. A girl on my team Addie works there so she gives us a discount. Me Lane Porter Hannah Kmart La la and Morgan all went and ate there and my roommates refuesed to let me pay yet again on my birthday! We drove back up to Salt Lake and went to Corbin and Reggies house for a good jam session of rock band! We played for a while then began our hunt for a hot tub. It took three hotels and failures till we finally snuck into the marriot and found success!! It was a lot of fun and I had an awesome birthday!!! here are some pics from dinner and of the boys in the back of the truck freezing thier hinies off...ALSO me on the saddle at Texas roadhouse cause its my birthday! haha

So we had two tough conference opponents this weekend and we were a little drawn back after a devastating embarasing loss to BYU...but we bounced back thats for sure and our seniors (PEDO and KATY) really stepped up!! We won both games this weekend against San Diego State University 4-1 and UNLV 3-1. It felt great to finally score more than two goals in a game and we really played well this weekend!! We kept the ball and had some great goals!! Katy Reineke scored 2 goals against san diego and one bullet shot against unlv to finish off the game!! She played flipping awesome and I'm so happy for her getting those goals this weekend!! LA our sophmore forward that runs her butt off everygame scored her first goal of the season today as well!! Happy to see her finally get one!!

It was snowing earlier today and it sure had me a little scared for winter...its the second week in october and already snowing?? :( luckily it stopped by game time, although it was still a cold bit of a windy game here in SALt Lake today!!

So our coaches decided to give us one more thing to do each week...PILATES class every monday before our practice. Let me tell you...its hard! Our teacher is probably a little frustrated with our inflexible class of soccer players who start laughing at half the things she tries to get us to do. I'm hoping that the class helps me get more flexible and maybe a little stronger in my core...I'm sore from it so i guess that means its working right??

so we had a tough night last night. Of course it rained all day for our byu game...it was 80 degrees the rest of the week but as soon as we are going to play byu its showers right. Anyway it was a cold night and we didn't come out ready to play...byu is a good team and punished us for it!! I almost got a header...dang...i would have had my car up here...well we just have to bounce back as a team and get ready for the next two home games this weekend! we need two wins for sure! we are 0-1 in conference now... :(

So we won our game last night against Long Beach! It was a tough game but we pulled off another shut out!! that is 290 minutes that we have gone without a goal on us so cross your fingers that we can continue this minute counter!! We won the game 1-0!! and guess who scored our goal!! our center back LAUREN PORTER! A freshmen that just happens to be my roommate!! yay!! It was great to get one! It was a header off a corner!! A great goal and exciting for her to get her first goal of the season! I'm still waiting for my own! Hopefully i will get one soon!! But stay tuned for our next game's results vs. fullerton!!

FINALLY A WIN!!

So this past weekend was a pretty good one!! We had a home game friday night under the lights against UTAH STATE an instate rivlry so the team was amped and ready to play! It started great simply by the fact that THE TEAM sang the national anthem because something went wrong with the computer and they couldn't get the recording to play...let me tell you that was quite the national anthem! haha...we played well and very aggresivly! We had come off a tough weekend in oregon loosing one game 3-2 and one 1-0 in OT. So we came out and won against UTAH STATE and got our first shutout!! YAY for the DEFENSE!! We won the game 2-0. Great to win at home in front of one of our biggest crowds ever! We had about 1,500 out at the game, so that was a fun atmosphere!

We had practice the next morning we did a light kick around and watched some video of the game the night before then got on the bus to the airport. We flew to L.A. to go play LMU. I got to go out to dinner with Hannah (one of my lovely roommates origionally from San Clemente) and her family to dinner. We went to Riviera, a mexican place!! I was so happy!! I have been craving some good mexican and it hit the spot! We went back to the hotel and got some rest for our game the next afternoon!

We played LMU and held them scoreless. We had a lot of opportunities! In fact we outshot them 19-8! After the first half the shot count was 10-1 in our favor!! No complaining on the defenses part!! But we went to 2OT with them and just could not get lucky with our chances...we had one they cleared off the line and one where our girl got taken down but no help from the Ref...We ended the game in a tie after 110 minutes of play!! After the game most of the girls showered and headed to the airport...but not our van! We went to in and out :) and went to the beach instead of that whole thing they call showering!! I think it was a good choice!!

So the weekend ended up pretty good! A win and a Tie! and Two shutouts in a row! Now we just have to gear up for a fun and busy weekend at home! We have the recruits for next year coming to stay with us as well as my parents coming up and some big games that we need to win! BUSY BUSY!! and i have a few papers to write! I better get back to that!! ha

So last night was a tough loss 3-2. We played very good in the first half and had a tough second half and were under a lot of pressure. We are now 1-4 and hopefully we can pull some wins off in or next few games. Its been tough cause we have lost all of our games by 1 goal or in a few minutes of a breakdown we get scored on. But yesterday we got to go into Oregon's training room to get pre-game treatments...I took pictures...It was absolutely incredible.

We got into oregon yesterday afternoon and let me tell you it was beautiful!! We went to the Origional Roadhouse last night and I had a great steak dinner ate lots of peanuts and had some great sweet rolls...haha...but today we had breakfast and trained. The Oregon facilities are amazing! I guess that NIKE hooks them up because one of the main nike guys went to oregon so they get a ton of stuff from them! So although we had some tough losses this past weekend it was a learning experience and great to get my first start of my college career in! We are off to oregon this weekend and I'm really excited! It will be fun to go play the Ducks and Beavers! Rich told us that teams rarley come out of oregon with two wins so if our team can do that it would be a great accomplishment. hopecullly wi will get our record back up to 500 and keep going up from there!!

So our first game is under our belts. We started our game off well and scored not too long into the game on a beautiful layoff from La La to Kelli. She had a great finish! We were in our half a lot and had a lot of pressure put on our back as Wake Forest pumped balls into our back line. We defended for a majority of the game and got scored on about 7 minutes after we did. We stayed tied thru regulation. In the college game if you are tied after the 90 minutes there are two sudden death 10 minute overtimes. We were under a lot of pressure in our first overtime and Wake played a great split ball to their forward who just slipped it past our keeper Em Rog's glove. We lost in the 98th minute. It was good to get one under our belt and we were able to learn a lot from playing one. Now just resting up and getting ready for the next one! Hopefully we will get a win under our belt in the next one and keep going from there!

Team BBQ/ Swim party

It was a nice afternoon to be able to get off the soccer field which has seen us so much the past two weeks and have an afternoon of fun and food. We all car pooled out to Danielle Sample's (a senior Captain) grandparents house, which was out in Sandy, to swim and relax a bit. We had a little team water basketball game and all the girls that played high school ball played a few other girls with a little less experience on the team. The HS players won. haha...but we all swam and relaxed and ate some great food!! Ribs, pulled pork and buns, cornbread, beans, and much more! It was great! I think the highlight of the evening though was probably me beating JEN Christophers in Loopty Loo/ Latter golf...We had to play since she beat me and my partner at the team retreat. I used my partner as a reason for loosing and challenged her to a one on one best of three match up. Each game was very close! I went over three times in the second game that she won but finished her off in the third game. The BBQ was a great time and fun to bond with the teammates and get to know everyone off the field a little better!!

Wow...what a relief it is to know that we don't have any more two-a-days. My body is a little tired and bruised and is ready for a break. Last night we had a inter-squad scrimmage. We play 10 v. 10 cause we have some team injuries. The scrimmage went well. First half finished 1-1 then we switched up the teams a bit and my team ended up winning the second half 2-0. It was good to play for a good amount of time and to see how thing are working out with the new team. So this morning I woke up to try and watch the U.S. v. Canada women's game to find out it was a lightning delay...back to sleep i went before our practice this morning. We had a light practice cause we are imitating a game weekend where we have a game at night then a light practice the next day and ten another game the next afternoon. But things are going well. I'm off to our video session of our game from last night.

So I was talking to my parents and they told me that people have been wondering how I'm doing. I've been really busy so sorry if you haven't gotten an update, so I decided that a blog would be an easy way for you guys to try and see what I'm up to up here in Salt Lake. I'm new to this so hopefully its not too bad!!

So i have been up in Salt Lake for about 2 and a half weeks now and things have been great! The first week I got up here was just one practice a day with the upperclassmen running our practices. After about a week we got ready to start our preseason.

Aug. 4th we all packed up and moved into the guest house. The whole team checked in and headed to meetings for the day to sign paperwork and get things squared away. We had a team dinner at macaroni grill that night. Let me tell you I love the college athlete life already!! FREE MEALS!! But we went back to the guest house that night and relaxed with our roommates and headed to bed to get a good nights rest for our first official day of preseason.

Our first day of preseason was a good one. A little intimidating coming into a team that you have never played with but the girls were great and really positive with the 10 new freshmen that were joining the team.

We had three days in a row of two a days and then headed off to Oakley Utah for our team retreat at one of the girls on the team's cabin. We played rock band (which was really interesting to hear some of the girls belt out their souls), pool, latter golf, hoola hooped, 4-wheeled, and ate up at the cabin. I had a great time and somehow managed to get a bed in the cabin...but don't tell the upperclassmen that slept on mats on the floor!!

But preseason has been going good. I'm trying to adjust to a new team and a little different surface from the flat turf I'm used to. Our field is a little thicker than I'm used to. But i love the girls and the team and I am way excited to start playing games!
